It takes years to go on,so expect it to take a while to come off too.Its not going to happen overnight, and pushing yourself too much may just cause you to lose confidence when you don't get immediate results.

Studies have shown that people whop walk faster tend to maintain their weight better than people who walk more slowly. Pick up the pace when you are roaming around the shops.
 Finding something you like doing, like sports or hiking, is great, but you need to make sure you are able to do it often. Also, mix your activities up; the more muscle groups you work out regularly, the better the overall boost to you metabolism. Don't give up! Perhaps consider exercising from home,such as a Wii Fit, an exercise bike or an exercise DVD like Yoga or Zumba can be fun & fitted in whenever.I will put some links at the bottom for you to peruse.When you have children it can be tricky.The most important thing is to be realistic about your own personal circumstance & what will fit in.Commit to something & then gradually try & increase it.

However, there are alternatives, lower calorie alternatives, to that chocolate bar. Try some popcorn instead of buying that candy bar to eat at the movies. The popcorn has fewer calories and is more filling, satisfying your urge to eat. That is one of my favourite weight loss tips.
Other substitutes might include baked potato instead of fried potatoes. And of course, the best of the weight loss tips is stay away from the typical fast foods that you probably eat too frequently.

Lastly Keep a food diary.Write down every meal, drink & snack you eat daily.You will be amazed how many calories you are consuming,
